Having lost some weight during our travels to Japan, the last thing I wanted to do was to regain the weight after returning to the U.S. There are so many temptations out there and using my birthday as an excuse, this can easily be accomplished.
Still, I wanted to have a sweet treat the other night and found myself driving over to my favorite gluten-free bakery in Fountain Valley, California after work!
Not wanting to overdo it, I only purchased two double-chocolate cupcakes for my husband and I. This is a dedicated gluten-free bakery and everything they offer is GF, Vegan, Dairy-free and Nut-free. I have tried just about everything Sensitive Sweets has had to offer and have not had any reactions. The only time I had a problem was when I purchased their white bread that contained something which caused me to react, assuming it was corn starch. I am highly sensitive to corn regardless of the amount used.
The best part however, is that the bakery items taste like the “real thing.” We have all had the experience of eagerly trying a gluten-free bakery item only to be disappointed with the taste and texture. Not at Sensitive Sweets, even my husband likes their products and cannot tell the difference!
